Missguided A/W13 Event & Lookbook Preview

Mainly just pictures of myself, Amy Valentine, Sarah, Robyn & Kavita ^_^ but see more of the event in the video above, with behind the scenes of Amy & Kavita posing for outfit pictures :)

The venue for the A/W preview was amazing, the gorgeous stain glass window complimented a lot of Missguided's new opulent pieces. Gorgeous statement sparkling gowns with hints of romance. The rails were divided into different sections, punk, sports luxe, glitter etc. I fell in love with the velvet kimono!

I felt very tropical with the real flower garland in my hair courtesy of the The Flower Appreciation Society.

Below are the amazing items from the goodie bags, as we stayed until the end we got special press goodies too!
A big thank you to Missguided and B Public Relations for organising such a fun event!

Now to Missguided's A/W Lookbook - "Lavish Gets Lethal"

Missguided have set the bar high with their previous lookbook, and they have not disappointed with these gorgeous images! The models are beautiful, confident and dressed to perfection.

This is a small taste of A/W 2013, shot in a multi-million pound 5 storey town house in Mayfair. The lookbook features deep crushed velvets, lavish leather, layering, faux fur and more <3

What's your favourite piece?

Staring at the sun

Jacket, Necklace & Top / Topshop
Dungaree Dress / c/o Karma Clothing
Jeffrey Campbells / c/o Loveclothing
Sunglasses / Ebay

You would recognise this outfit from my May Lookbook if you follow me on Youtube. Thought this was a good time to post it due to the shift in the weather, making it jacket worthy incase of a shower! Although hearing the weather is soon going to clear up and it will be sunny again! Phew I was worried we'd had our summer!

I wanted to rock up the dungaree dress a little so added a classic leather jacket and my Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Spikes! I like how versatile the dress is, with the right items you can look super girly, or chic and edgy. Next on my list is to get my hands on some cut out chunky boots! Going to London tomorrow so on the hunt for the New Look ones <3

What are you current must haves?

Elegant Creatures

 Hat / Topshop
Skirt / Topshop
Tee / c/o P&Co
Necklace / H&M
Rucksack / Primark
Heels / Boohoo

Last image is a bit random, cropped off my head as I looked odd, but wanted to show the shoes I styled with. Ideally I would of loved this with cut out boots, but I unfortunately don't own any!

I literally adore this tee from P&Co, it looks rather large as well it's a mens large. I did ask for a M (I wanted it over sized) but actually I'm really glad I received a large. The material is so soft and hangs well that I think I get away with it, and tucked into something makes a world of difference. As it's baggy it's lovely and airy, perfect for the current heat wave in the UK!

I wanted to style it a bit different to the usual tee and shorts combo, and I'm really happy with this, I think my chosen accessories help bring it all together. I use this rucksack almost everyday for work, it's lasted me a year so far, well done Primark!

Hope you have been enjoying the glorious weather if you are from the UK :)

Bohemian Like You

Hat / Topshop
Belt & longest necklace / Topshop
Crystal & Skull necklace / Empty Casket
Ring on Chain / c/o Shop Dixi
Rings / H&M, c/o The Bohemian Co, c/o Shop Dixi
Crochet Knit Dress / Charity Shop
Dress underneath / H&M
Shoes / c/o Loveclothing.com

This outfit was inspired by Sara from Waiste, she always has the most amazing crochet knit dresses layered up with effortless style! I found this amazing dress in a charity shop today, and thought of Sara straight away! She's inspired me to hunt through my local charity shops and I'm so glad I managed to find this for £3.50! I crochet myself and if I tried doing this, it would take me WEEKS, months even. So £3.50 was an absolute steal for the amount of work put into this! ^_^

I got out of my garden yey! What do you think to the change in background? I took a little wonder around where I live, and thankfully there were no awkward moments where someone walks past! Look I even smiled in a picture! :O

A ring I got from Shop Dixi, which I love! But is too big for my little fingers, I decided to put on a chain so I could wear it as a necklace. A little suggestion from one of my Youtube followers, how clever!

My Dad freaked out at the height of my shoes, but seriously they are SO easy to walk in :D

I also have a tan but you cannot really notice in these pictures ^_^ Bring on the weekend so I can top it up!

The Edit Launch - Youtube Event

Photos via Sarah, Lucy & Shore

If you watched my recent vlog you will have seen that I went to London to attend a Youtube party. It was on a rooftop garden in Covent Garden, for the launch of Base79's new youtube network, "The Edit". This will bring together all the best of youtube's beauty and fashion community, as well as up and coming ones.

It was such a fun event, eating fancy cup cakes, sipping pimm's on a roof top garden whilst talking with some of my favourite youtubers! A bit surreal seeing some in person after watching them for months online! Everyone was as lovely as I'd expected and really easy to approach and talk to.

Total fan girl moment when Patricia told me she watched some of my videos and even said my channel name, which isn't really the most catchy and rememberable name to exist ^_^

So lovely to finally get to chat to Lucy as I've seen her around at a few events now, but never had the chance to talk to her. I spent most of my night with the lovely Sarah, Amy and Kate <3

Watch footage from the event from 7:53 - 9:19

A big thank you to The Edit for hosting such a lovely event and for the gifts in the goodie bag! Was so much fun, lovely and relaxed, and so great to get to talk to such lovely people!

Monochrome Mint

Mink Pink Blazer / c/o MeeMee
Top / Topshop
Leggings / c/o Dear Lola
Shoes / Zara
Jewellery / c/o Shop Dixi

You will recognise this outfit if you follow my on instagram, I posted this but with my Amercian Apparel Disco Pants instead. I loved that outfit so much, I adapted it for my "How I style Patterned Leggings" Video I recently uploaded onto my channel.

I love the monochrome look with a subtle summer feel tricking in with the mint ombre of the blazer. I'm so happy to finally own something by Mink Pink, I'm always lusting over their clothes and MeeMee have an amazing selection! Next to invest in a Kimono by them!

As we are getting closer to summer I've started collecting Rose Gold, now to get a tan to compliment it's warm tones *sigh*

The Bohemian Collective

I was first introduced to The Bohemian Collective after attending an Ax Paris Blogger event earlier this year, which you can read about here. In the amazing goodie bag from the night was the Sterling Silver Wish Bone Knuckle Ring! I instantly fell in love with it, as I'd seen knuckle rings on the internet, but never came across one to buy. Usually if I can, I prefer to try on rings as my fingers are really small, meaning most small sizes in places like Topshop are just too big! So I was greatly surprised that it did fit me!

I recently won their monthly instagram competition, a £20 voucher! (I never win anything, I was so happy!) All you have to do is hashtag #thebohemiancollective on a picture of your Bohemian Collective jewellery on instagram or twitter to be entered. I ordered the beautiful Sterling Silver Oval Turquoise Ring, and that weekend they also had an offer, each order received a free knuckle ring! Was a lovely surprise to receive the Rose Gold Wish Bone Knuckle Ring, I'm slowly building a collection of rose gold <3

What I love about The Bohemian Collective especially, is their beautiful range of sterling silver, solid gold and solid rose gold jewellery. They aren't plated so you don't have to worry about your fingers eventually going green or the hassle of applying clear nail varnish to the band to prevent that happening.
Also following them via instagram I can see that many items are handmade in their workshop, where they are always coming up with new designs. I'm always one to support companies from the UK, especially when things are handmade for their customers. It's nice to spend that bit more to get a unique non mass produced item which will last you <3

If you would like some beautiful items for yourself, use code "thanksleanne" for 20% off all orders until 6th July!
