Wear those killer heels..

Don't know about you, but I love the whole process of getting ready for a night out. From deciding what clothes to wear, which bag to take out, playing around with my hair/makeup and then finding the perfect heels to complete the whole look. Sometimes I do go out in flat shoes, I guess it depends on who I'm going out with or the venue we're going out to. But there are most definitely times I want to strut my stuff, I don't know, there's just a different way you walk when you're in heels isn't there.

And even before going out, I love the build up of excitement up to the night. Deciding whether to buy a new dress, top or heels, asking everyone what they'll be wearing too. There's something so nice to treating yourself to a new pair of heels, I tend to splurge more on shoes than clothes even though I already have far too many, but it cannot be helped and nights out are the perfect time to wear them!

So on Wednesday it's the Company Blogger Style Awards in London!! And thanks to you guys I'm nominated for the Best Personal Style Blog! Again a massive thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for me to win my category, all your support has been so amazing and I'm just lost for words that I'm even nominated! I'm so excited to go to the event, I'm looking forward to seeing lots of my friends there and also finally meeting some lovely girls I've spoken to for so long via the internet. The blogging community is so lovely, I'm so so happy I'm a part of this all!

I've narrowed my outfit ideas down to these two, and would love for you guys to decide which I wear to the awards. Both dresses are from Missguided and they fit like an absolute dream! I was SO impressed with them when they arrived. They look even more amazing in real life than on the website, I felt like such a princess!

For the second outfit I'm now thinking of different shoes. I loved the white shoes in the first outfit so much I also ordered them in black for the second outfit!

Also I would love your input for jewellery ideas! I'm thinking no necklace, but maybe some bracelets and rings? Also what sort of bag and in what colour for the second outfit, arrrgh decisions!

A massive thank you for my Dad for taking these outfit pictures for me, I wanted to venture somewhere a little different for a change. I have some lovely lenses and wanted somewhere to be able to show off the beautiful depth of field my 50mm f/1.2 lens is capable off <3

Crochet Knit Dress / Charity Shop

This outfit was inspired by Sara from Waiste, she always has the most amazing crochet knit dresses layered up with effortless style! I found this amazing dress in a charity shop today, and thought of Sara straight away! She's inspired me to hunt through my local charity shops and I'm so glad I managed to find this for £3.50! I crochet myself and if I tried doing this, it would take me WEEKS, months even. So £3.50 was an absolute steal for the amount of work put into this! ^_^

I got out of my garden yey! What do you think to the change in background? I took a little wonder around where I live, and thankfully there were no awkward moments where someone walks past! Look I even smiled in a picture! :O

A ring I got from Shop Dixi, which I love! But is too big for my little fingers, I decided to put on a chain so I could wear it as a necklace. A little suggestion from one of my Youtube followers, how clever!

My Dad freaked out at the height of my shoes, but seriously they are SO easy to walk in :D

I also have a tan but you cannot really notice in these pictures ^_^ Bring on the weekend so I can top it up!

Call me a crazy cat lady if you wish, but now cute are these kitty collar tips! I'm a massive fan of shirts and I have a section of collar tips already, but nothing as cute as these! I've been loving my new cat tapestry litas, so glad I opted up a size to my usual as these are so comfortable! No more pinched toes! I'm trying to be more careful with wearing shoes that fit properly, I don't want to ruin my feet!

Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! I'm currently ill and feeling sorry for myself ^_^ if you follow me on instagram you would have already seen this outfit and know I didn't take this today haha.

Kitty shoes and tights

Crop top and skirt / American Apparel
Tights c/o / Pamela Mann
Shoes / Boohoo
Necklace / Topshop

How amazing are these cat tights! They had another version where on the back of the knee there was a silhouette of the back of a cat and its tail. I decided to go with this version though as I thought it was a little bit more wearable. As soon as I saw them I knew I would have to wear them with my cat wedges! I'm so going to be a crazy cat lady when I'm older I think!

I've started filming a lookbook of items I've bought through April. It was requested on my youtube channel for me to do this, and I've wanted to film more outfits on me, so thought that would be a great idea! So far I have filmed a third of the total items, so I am getting there, just letting you guys know that I have started, but it might be awhile until it's up due to the weather, as I film outside :)

Minimalist Strap Sandals

After being in love with super high boots with platforms and big sold heels, I've turned a little softer and more sophisticated perhaps this spring/summer, with a new shoe crush!
It all started with my brother's girlfriend's strap sandals she got from Zara last season. They were similar to the right ones show above which are also from Zara. I loved the look of them instantly and had to get some for myself!

First I got the right pair from Zara, these are called the "Basic Sandal" and were £39.99, they were my favourite over all the others in store as I loved the monochrome two tone. The others I was not so keen on due to gold heels or a very thin strap at the front of the foot. These were just perfect, simple and would go with more I thought.

I'm usually a UK 3 in heels, but they only had a 4 in store, they fit the length of my foot well, but as my feet are quite thin there's a bit of room in the foot strap. I solved this whoever with silicon gel cushions from Primark which were only £1! I tried on a 3 in another style whilst in Zara to check for size, but I felt they crushed my toes a little, I'm more of a 3.5 really *sigh*

The left pair are from SheLikes, these are the
"Frida Nude & Cream Minimalist Ankle Strap Sandals" and were only £25! They also have the same ones also in blue two tone, pink two tone and also in plain black. I got these in a UK 3 and they fit perfectly! I loved these and also the plain black ones, I'm glad I got these over the black ones otherwise they would have been so so similar to my Zara ones.

As you can see in these pictures the heel of the Zara ones are higher, they have a heel of 11cm whilst the SheLikes ones are 9cm (although online they say 10, I measured and mine are 9)
This slight heel height difference makes the SheLikes ones easier to walk in I find. I'm more likely to wear these in town around the day, the Zara ones I think are more for nights out to bars. I can definitely see a difference in how long I could wear each shoe for!

Also the ankle strap is adjustable on the SheLikes ones which on my small ankles give me much more support. Whilst wearing them, they just feel a lot more secure. My only criticism of the Zara ones are their lack of adjustable strap! They just have a loop which goes around your ankle and a zip up the back to get them on and off.

I would definitely recommend both!
The Zara ones I feel are more for nights out, meals, evening wear (mainly as I couldn't walk too long in these). They would last longer as they are made of leather, but if you were looking for a cheaper alternative which are easier to walk in and look similar in style I would say get the SheLikes ones <3
