LEANNE LIM-WALKER X BAIA - I designed a bag!

I am so excited to finally share this with you all! Earlier in the year I was contacted by Susy from Baia asking if I wanted to take part in this exciting opportunity. Myself and 3 other bloggers have designed our own take on Baia's classic "Midi" handbag! I was thrilled with the idea as I am so fussy with handbags. I don't really own that many, so designing my own was a dream come true! Having it arrive this weekend and holding it myself was just surreal, I'm so very proud!

I wanted to design a bag I could easily wear with an array of outfits, I went for a classic black but contrasted with the textures of quilted leather and silky suede <3 To compliment the brass hardware a chain strap was used instead of all plain black, to make it a bit different, it's half chain half strap (thinking about comfort whilst wearing it).

To reflect my love of all things nautical there's a stripe lining, avoiding navy though, so not to clash with the black of the bag. To keep things extra safe these's a handy inside zip pocket and the main flap of the bag is kept closed with magnets.

Susy's attention to detail has been amazing, sticking so true to my design, and I squealed at the use of black and white ribbon for the box to reflect the bags lining. She's a genius! Hollie loved the box it came in too <3

Baia - Little black bag

 

I've been in need of a mini shoulder bag for some time as my last one from Mango has completely fallen apart! I guess that's what happens when you buy mass produced items which aren't leather!

This beauty on the other hand, is handmade right here in Britain with locally scored materials. What was even more amazing was I was able to choose the colour and material of the main bag, add a highlight colour if I wanted and choose the lining. Now I'm highly fussy with bags, to custom pick how it looked was so handy! But if you are too spoilt for choice you can choose from their ready to buy section, if you liked the look of mine, mines the mini in black leather with a powder blue lining.

All hardware is brass, so it will not tarnish (unlike my previous bag..) and the strap is adjustable so you can choose how you want it to sit. It's concealed magnetic closure is in keeping with it's classic timeless design.

I'm so thrilled with my bag, I grabbed my camera as soon as this parcel arrived! And what a lovely surprise to have my name inside!

How to make a head chain - DIY!

So I got a little crafty, as I like to now and again, and I decided to make my very own head chain! I kept seeing them everywhere and I wasn't really sure if I loved them enough to part with my money for one. Instead I decided to raid my  jewellery box and turn some things I never wear into something completely different! Using a necklace and an earring I created my very own head chain :)

An outfit post with a little taster of items that I will be featuring on my youtube channel this week. There are going to be two hauls! If you follow me on instagram or read my previous post, you will have seen me mention there will be a Topshop/collective haul. This will feature obviously Topshop items and also some from Loveclothing.com and Primark. Those sky high heels in my outfit are part of the second haul! The first will feature items I was sent by Phixclothing.com, this top was one of my favourites and I just had to wear it today!

The Abandon Ship Apparel brand is for both men and women. I own two Abandon Ship Apparel tees already, I would definitely recommend them, they are affordable, retailing £24.

Those shoes were such a bargain, only £27 from Loveclothing.com, yet on Missguided.com they are £40.99! They are so easy to walk in due to the platform, and such a nice shape! I actually prefer their shape over the real Jeffrey Campbell Big Litas!

I'm really looking forward to showing you all the wonderful items from the hauls, as I know hauls are popular amongst a lot of you, I'm a sucker for watching them too! I will also do a blog post for each haul for those who aren't keen on listening to my voice and watching me blab on! It will also give me an opportunity to talk more in depth about each item, its quality, how I would wear it etc and not have to worry about making a crazy long video!

I love this knitted hat I'm wearing, which I made myself! I've been thinking of selling some in the near future, along with knitted bracelets and crocheted collars, would anyone be interested?
